Research Administration Information Services offers the following online sources to assist faculty and research staff in identifying sources of funding.
Researchers are also encouraged to utilize the grants.gov database, which is the single access point for grant programs offered by the 26 federal grant-making agencies.
Cornell also has an institutional subscription to The Foundation Directory; access is provided through University Libraries. The Directory provides access to information about public and private foundations in the U.S., including profiles and links to foundation Web sites.
Some sponsors limit the number of nominations or proposals that Cornell may submit to a particular program. The internal selection process for deciding those that may go forward from Cornell is described on the Limited Submission Competitions page.
Faculty and research staff are strongly encouraged to subscribe to the CU-RES-ADMIN-L listserv. The listserv is used to disseminate timely information such as limited submission competitions, popular non-limited submission grant opportunities, updates to sponsor applications, rate changes, and training opportunities.
