Mobility and Inequality (Stanford University Press, 2006). This volume of research on social and economic mobility probes the effects of in-equality on mobility in industrial societies. The experts examine the range of mobility patterns in recent decades, the mechanisms that generate mobility, and the role of educational institutions in constraining and enabling mobility.
